you know i think people are just to uptight about the whole thing. the nude body is a normal thing. God made us that way and also brought us into the world that way. get past it. dont we have more to worry about than a breast being seen.

I have seen a lot worse on primetime television than a breast. What about Madonna and Britney kissing, or NYPD showing Dennis Franzs' butt? If I had to choose, I would pick Janets breast anyday! What about people raising some noise about networks glorifying drug dealing, gangs, the mafia, etc... on TV. Whatever happened to good ol' american TV? Put Bill Cosby in charge of programming....

I feel that it may have been a accident. They do happen you know. I'm more concerned about the gay and homosexual lifestyles being glorified on the sitcoms and T.V. shows. My children see that and think it's okay. Do something about that.

Americans are absolutley TOO conservative about nudity. Has anyone been to a European Beach? There are topless women everywhere, of all ages. I don't think any children were seriously injured by seeing a nude breast, but perhaps many adults were!

how can they say that was an accident? I want everyone reading this to pull on their shirts and see what happens (you pull your body in the direction you pulled in)!! yes if you pull on your shirt as hard as justin did on janet's top then she will have been pulled towards him. the only way possible was for her top to have been vel-cro. The plan was for him to pull only the black material and leave the red bra showing. If you look closely at the photos you will see that the black and red material is sewn together and they are one piece on two separate materials. Also the lyrics to the song fit perfect to the action take, "have you naked by the end of this song" snatch breast exposed. It was all planned and done as a promotion and gimmick to help her record sells.

I think after having a child recently I have changed my opinion on so many things. I feel bad that a ton of families were sitting around watching a family show when "the boob" came out. I have no problem with nudity in movies and on pay channels, but it is not fair to ask parents to start worrying about everyhting that is on tv, especially those shows that should be a little more predicatble. CBS and MTV knew exactly what was going to happen and I for one think they should be fined by the FCC for every single affiliate station that carries the Super Bowl.

It just amazes me what Americans get upset about. Up until the halftime show, I was disturbed by some of the commercials, preferably, where the young boy at the kitchen table has to look at some womans behind in a thong. This boy was only 5 or 6 years old and thats acceptable? I guess all you Janet haters ignored that one. Oh, thats right, Janet is african american, what the hell was I thinking.

One more thing, the whole European comment is not all that valid. This is not Europe, nor is it Mexico where you can drink at any age and purchase prescription medicine on the street corner, nor is it Canada where every dollar you make is taxed 70%, not is it the Middle East where you can be put to death for virtually nothing. This is America and our nudity tolerance is most certainly lower than other countries, but then again we are not another country are we?

Instead of being so concerned about one minor part of the female anatomy being shown on Tv, the Government should crack down on the ludicrous number of commercials and on-screen promos while you are attempting to enjoy ANY program on television.

Really now, you see more flesh at the Supermarket on a hot day. Haven't we matured past, Ooooooh!! I saw a titty on TV. Remember back in the late 60's when Cher was close to being cancelled, because Bob Mackie designed her a dress that showed her belly button. Grow up you people, she did have a pasty on, and shame on you MTV for not backing up the people that made you a success. If my memory serves me right, it was Janets brother Michael that broke the black barrier being the first black artist on MTV, before him it was just white Rock and Roll bands, til you almost went belly up.

Jimmy, You made a good point, except for the gross exaggeration that Canadians are taxed 70%. Not even close, Jimmy! The highest income tax is paid by people who earn over $105,000 per year - they can be taxed a maximum of 29% of their income. This pays for all the things Canadian citizens enjoy: subsidized university education, excellent public schools, libraries, cops, electricity, free medical care for all, etc etc. I think you had a really strong point without making up stories about my country!

Everyone is talking about janet jackson and justin timberlakes boob deal.But what I'm not hearing anything about is that FREAK who ran almost naked on to the feild with writing on his chest.Fair is only fair if you b----h about the boob thing why is nothing being done about the freak on the feild.He was arrested and relashed on bail.And he's known to doing it at other sporting events.They only posted a boob.And it happed so fast most people watching totaly missed it.They spent more time chaseing that freak and the cameras were closely following him.Anybody watching that saw the whole d--m kit@cabuddle.

Hey, my family (my wife, my 14 year old son, my 11 year old daughter, and myself) watched the Janet/Justin performance... saw the whole thing. And when it was over, we were sort of... hmmm... did we REALLY just see what we THINK we saw? In other words, it was so quick--and they shut down the lights almost immediately--we couldn't even say for certain that we'd seen ANYTHING! (Mind you, I was very intent on catching the instant replay! It never came, tho'...)

Get over it, America. It was no biggee. (Course, it wasn't exactly a "smallee" either... rather nicely proportioned, I'd say.)

Sarah, you're very mixed up about California and taxes! First, no state pays 29% on top of their federal income tax. And second, whatever California collects and spends are two entirely different things. They collect more than any other state, and spend way more than any other state, but they still can't afford it with their taxes. Why? It's the most liberal state not in New England that thinks everything should be free for everyone... Have you noticed recently a recall of your favorite politician, Gray Davis. The liberal leadership has put CA in big trouble financially with that deficit.

What really is the big deal with the half time show? Do people have nothing better to do than whine over petty issues like a boob being shown on national t.v.? If parents had kids that were watching and did not like it, then maybe they should do thier jobs as parents and sit down and talk to their kids.I live in Las Vegas and all you have to do is drive down the street and there are half naked women posted on billboards everywhere. Walking down the strip with your family you get handed porn. Go into the grocery stores and all you see are magazines with half dressesd or not dressed at all models. And then there are those herbal essencess shampoo commercails. Come on. You dont hear anything about the half time show except Janet's boob. If you want to start getting picky what about Kid Rock wearing a cut up American flag? O wait I saw boobs!! BOOBS! BOOBIES!!! I've seen way worse on t.v. than that. Does anyone remember when Lil Kim had a breast fully exposed with only a pasty covering at the MTV Music Awards. Then Dianne Ross freakin grabs her breast. That was on national t.v. and nobody cared then. Janet did a great job performing at the half time show. Then Justin Tittielake has to come out acting like he dont know nothing and how shocked he was! Yea right! We all know he liked it and he should stop acting like he is perfact.I'm sure he dont mind if his record sales go up as a result. Maybe he was trying to top Britney's kiss with Madonna? People who are shocked get over it. There is a war going on. The half time show and Janets boob that was shown for not even a second is not a big deal. Okay, so Janet Jackson's breast was "accidently" beared on national television. Minor issue people. The fact that people are upset over it is not the issue, the issue is that some woman in Tennessee is now filing a law suit over it. The claim is the suffering of anger, embarrassment, and personal injury. For christ's sake give me a break. When did it become acceptable to file a lawsuit against somebody because they embarrassed or angered you? And personal injury? Did she fall down when JJ's breast appeared for 1/2 of a second, or choke on a piece of super bowl steak she was chowing? I have a hard time believing anyone suffered enough personal injury over this insufficient display of nudity to file a lawsuit. And if this is even allowed into a court room, well the problem with America's legal system couldn't be more obvious. Woman in Tennessee: Quit trying to milk an easy million out of the producers and get over it. You are the problem not CBS or MTV allowing Janet Jackson to expose herself.
